change of duty times.....!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by bearwithsorehead »

i would like to find out what happens if our start times are changed next week 22nd october from 930pm to 10pm

under the way forward agreement u need to work more than 2hours on a bank holiday so would u then NOT qualify

for a day in lieu and bank holiday payment ? And also if u put in a handback form to tell royal mail that u wanted to

take one of your 8 holidays a year could they then disipline u for being AWOL

I would be grateful if anybody could clarify this situation

cheers

Lucky, you still got night shift. There will not be a single night shift in any of 13 delivery offices in Oxford ( Oxon ) by Christman . Be happy if even your night shift start at mid night rather than 10pm.

Don't know about the rest of the country but some of the shifts in Glasgow MC do start at Midnight and end at 10am (Tues night to Sat morning).
Nothing remotely happy about them.

To answer the original post, considering collections on Sundays and bank holidays are being scrapped I would assume most places would run with a skeleton staff on a voluntary basis. Those opting to work will probably get the 8hrs on the docket and no lieu day.
