ATOS, not Avon calling me.

Post by Thunderthighs »

I have been told that ATOS are ringing me at 9am, and not to go into work until I've spoken to them.
So...Is this call part of my working day??? It's not a Personal Matter, and I wouldn't be staying in except for this call etc.
My hours a generally Flexi-type, with no set pattern, but I was originally asked to go in at 10am on this particular day.

I feel, it IS part of my working day, so obviously, I would subtract this out of my planned hours. as It will probably take 30 mins or so.

Am I right in assuming if its a Work Related Matter, so should subtract it?
Many thanks...

they phoned me while I was at work. its normally work related for them to phone you. probably to discuss you.re capabilities if you've been referred by management.

Have you given permission to your manager for a referral to atos he has to have your permission before they can call you

Apparently, I was told, that Management had ALREADY contacted them, prior to the forthcoming call...so, I wasn't aware this wasn't supposed to be the case...ie, that they had to have my "permission".
Anyway, I had assumed they had the "authority" to arrange this call, without my permission, or...thats the way they made it out. Smoke and mirrors then?

So, I'm thinking, It's a Work Related Call, so I'll be using this time as part of my Working Day, period.
Can't see why I shouldn't?

You could also lodge a grievance about not giving your permission prior to referral. They have actually broke the law by referring you without your permission

Thing is...I WAS told they were contacted, but...I think this was a "ploy", as I can't prove what I was actualy told.

So, as one famous Politician once said, when in the s**t.."Deny, deny, deny."

I'd be acussing them of lying, and then be told.."You weren't told that at all...You're mistaken. Wrong." I'd be on a hiding to nothing.
But thanks for the info...it all makes sense.

Call "planned" for 9am...It's now 9.23am...no call. Told by management, to not go in until call is received.
Could be a Long Day....
