Breakdown of Staff

Post by MegaWalk »

First of all - not a physical breakdown !! ( though that may well come for many of us posties )

Just curious for a number of reasons if anyone on here can give me a quick estimate ( or better ) of :

How many postal workers do RMail employ
How many of those are on delivery - be it van share or otherwise ... actively trodding it out on the street
How many are employed "Indoors" in Mail Centres etc

Like I say just after a rough idea if anyone knows ?

Thanks.

There's probably somewhere between 2 and 3 times more staff in deliveries then what there is in MCs and RDCs combined

A breakdown of employees by function, grade, contract type, sex and ethnic background ... overall and by region would be interesting.

1. 150,000 roughly.
2. 100,000 to 110,000
3. 30,000 - 40,000 approx.

Of course you have MDeCs, trunker drivers and bundling centres and DO indoor staff that will muddy the figures.

Why would that be interesting?
