Transfer not happening

Our office got moved 12 months ago to a bigger do we only had 22 walks we now have over 80 since merging thing is i was only 1 mile from old do am now 6 miles , we were told we must take 40 mins break and cant finish early even on sat meaning its 1448 finish problem is with footy season starting i cant make game on sat as 10 miles away so 4 months ago asked to transfer to do not far from ground in opp direction only 10 min walk so i could just make sat games its about 6 miles from home so same distance dom said unlikely ! so i have asked him again and again he just says we are short staffed and cant let me move and they have no vacancies, yet this office has 90 walks! more than one i am in, thing is my 9 yr old son is now upset he cant go to match now as i have to work!? or take break! i thought the union said they were going to get family friendly? its ridiculous to work this late on sat what about other family commitments they just dont seem to care.When i started 8 yrs ago we worked 0440 to 1200 and finsihed early on sat so they have changed it for the worst. How/can i insist on transfer what is next step , has anyone else got similar problem and how do we get round it?

you get round it by getting another job or getting someone else to take your child to the footie

not what you wanted to hear I know but your working hours are just that hours you work

it is not unreasonable to expect you to work all the hours you are being paid for

Or you go round your current DOM and see the one in charge of the other. If they are not the same person then IIRC once a request has been accepted then the old office can only keep you for 28 days.

I Understand where you are coming from but some offices are still letting staff go home when they finish i know this as spoke to my parents postie in another town 20 miles away he says ft start at 0700 and go most go home about 1-130 even earlier on sat!! why one rule for them and another for us? as for getting another job i am considering this now but when i took job we were told we could finish at 1200 if i had known it was going to change big time i would not have taken job as for working my hours i am willing to do this instead i have to sit in a canteen for 40 mins!! as i dont want break in van unhygienic etc! why cant we just have 20 mins and go home 20 mins earlier?

there is no start and finish time on your contract and things are only going to get worse when the start and finish times are getting later and later
