We are in the process of advertising 3 full time duties internal, 1 is a early turn but the other 2 are late turns.
We have a member of staff who wishes to go from a 30 hour contact to a full time one, due to their seniority they will only be left with the late turns.
Can a member of staff with a family friendly form sign for a duty knowing they can't undertake the duty?
cheers

Re: Family friendly
surely he could use the extra 9 hours pay to pay for child care and secure themselves a full time contract in the long term they will benefit as kids grow older and can look after themselves full time contracts don't grow on trees

Re: Family friendly
Family friendly no longer gets priority
anyone can apply for flexible working and as a business we can no longer put people with family commitments first
It is now the law
so unfortunately I guess it works both ways
but on a positive note if they pick it and then cry family friendly it will not have the impact it did before

Re: Family friendly
Requesting family friendly or flexible working now available to employees other than carers you are requiring a duty that is suitable to you and meets with your home commitments so why would you want to sign for a duty that you have no intention of fulfilling.mobydick1974 wrote:We are in the process of advertising 3 full time duties internal, 1 is a early turn but the other 2 are late turns.
