I have been employed for years before P&L was implemented and have been driving for around a year after changeover training, but for several reasons I no longer really wish to do so as there's absolute no incentive to do so for them. Is it possible to remove myself from it?

Removal from driving
Is there a procedure in place for wanting to refuse to drive?

Re: Removal from driving
Just put it in writing to your dom, just be careful you weren't employed as a driver as I know some of the newer ones were but if that's not the case then a letter is fine.

Re: Removal from driving
It would depend on the exact job description of your contract of employment. If your contract of employment states postman/postwoman then you can by writing a letter request to be removed from driving duties.
However if your contract of employment states postman/postwoman/driver then it would be more difficult to be removed from driving duties.
You will need to be careful how you proceed with this for if your contract does not show driver and there has been no adjustment made to include driving in the job description then you by putting in a written request to be removed is likely to succeed but RM could counteract this by saying there are no duties now available for you to cover and offer redundancy.
