Ill health retirement advice??

I am being ill health retired soon, RM have given me a figure to leave. A lump sum figure that looks ok and 12 weeks in lieu of leave. Does anyone know what weeks they are supposed to pay? The 12 weeks seems pretty low. I am unable to work due to arthritis and I have been off sick since since march 5th. I do plan to call my union but I was just wondering if before I do? Your lump sum figure should have been calculated at 34 weeks wages and a further 9 weeks lieu of notice. If you have received 12 weeks then the additional weeks are for outstanding holiday leave.

can you take a lump sum of your pension early even though you are well of retirement age i.e be 48 soon if you are offered i.h.r.

IHR with Lump sum is calculated at 34 weeks pay + 9/12 weeks notice + outstanding leave at time the notice was given + shares.

NI and Tax will be deducted from the leave amount . You will have to contact HR regarding the payment and issue of the shares.

Pension cannot be touched until at least 55.
