I think I know the answer but will ask anyway recently I was on a park and loop with new partner got to the first drop of point when partner told me to move van after completing first loop I informed my partner i couldn't as i hadn't had the driver training therefore not covered by insurance etc the person wasn't happy with me at all

Should I just bite my tongue and say nothing or should I speak to somebody about it???

I explained to this person that if I had an accident I would lose my job get points etc

If they continue send em to speak to a manager

As long as you had a valid licence for the vehicle you would have been insured if you drove it.

As you hadn't been trained though yoU would have been liable to be conduct coded for driving it

I am a non driving partner on a van share - have never driven or had a licence. When my usual partner went on leave I was teamed with a relatively new starter as driver. I asked them if they had had all the RM vehicle training necessary and was told that they hadn't. I immediately went to the line manager and refused to travel with them as and the duties had to be rejigged to sort the problem.

It's YOUR safety that is paramount - if the proper training isn't fulfilled then it is a management problem to sort it and they cannot argue with that.

Would they be covered though? They would not have received authorisation to drive, which if it happened in a civilian vehicle can be considered a crime (TWOCing)
