RRIS Back Pay?

Does anyone know if the RRIS (Recruitment and Retention Incentive Scheme) payment is meant to be increasing by 3% in line with all the other allowances?

No its not increasing, I don't think RRIS has ever been increased

I maybe transferring to a different office does this very, As my manager says I may loose this
moving from GU35 to GU30 both in Hampshire ??? About £35 per week etc. Have Tried wages no answer busy etc.

Try contacting the book room at the new office to see if they get it. If not I tink he may be right but Can't find anything definitive. Hopefully one of our resident F-O-A-K will advise as some point

What if you are transferring into an office that receives RRIS, are you entitled to receive it?

Yes you do unless your on marked time pay. The simple reason why RRIS does not increase is that it was originally paid as a difficult recruitment and retention payment under the DRAS dispute in 1988 when Royal Mail tried to introduce regional pay is that the criteria for the RRIS payment is no longer there in many areas ie the company no longer has a problem in recruiting and the company no longer have lots of staff leaving. There are still some hot spots around Heathrow but no where near what it was like in 1988 when retention levels were very high and other jobs were more attractive then Royal Mail.
