Think I remember this was mentioned as a course for reps and doms to attend and then roll out to office jointly. Anyone been on one yet and what were your thoughts???

i went on one a few years ago,they were called DRAW groups.(dignity & respect at work)it was awful,the group argued the toss as to what it all meant,the manager looked bewilldered.it ended about four weeks in having caused more harm than good.i am a bit old school,so always loved a bit of banter,but all this group seemed to do was put the fear of god into anyone who saw fit to have a laugh.it also told stories of people who felt threatened and intimidated and bullied....a right can of worms,which in the wrong hands,could be quite dangerous..sorry if i offended anyone with what i have written..lol......see what i mean

hi all went on one week before last joint royal mail/cwu all sounds good on the day went through some examples to show what's what and how to approach it best part will be the joint wtl
with dom and rep taking a active part in it the question is wil the doms change there ways !!! as far as it went it was good and clear with some good points raised by the reps on how
it would or could work only time will tell

DRAW groups were set up nationwide years ago and for one reason or another disappeared,where i work a DIVERSITY group has been formed at the instigation of senior management with one of them at the helm(Diversity Champion)whose appointment has generated much mirth amongst staff!
This of course, has nothing to do with contentious recruitment policies or the impending 'Have Your Say' surveys......must be getting cynical in my old age!

You shouldn't make assumptions about our leader.He is a pretty understanding type.
By the way when you had your resource meetings did he offer you any biccys???

Recently, I agreed to become rep in our office. I was due to attend this meeting with my DOM on a Tuesday two weeks back. On the Monday before, he informed me that we were short staffed so would have to re-schedule it. Didn't think anything of it until I spoke with our Area Rep a week later who told me that the DOM did attend without telling me!!! Dignity and Respect, eh!?

i can't say i'm shocked, and that fact does worry me.
it would be nice to think that when RM trolls on here see this they investigate it, but that is only a pipe dream i fear.

I can't attend mine because of leave, both myself and DOM were told by the Area Rep, that DOM had to attend either with rep or sub rep, otherwise ii wasn't worth DOM attending. Sub repwill be going. Hope they enjoy themselves
