sick / holiday
There is a OPG in our office who has had a lot of days sick in the last 12 months due to a serious illness & he needs to go for another op next week . He will go to zero pay when he is off sick & has asked to take the 12 days leave he is owed ,but the DOM says he can't as he has had to much sick , surely he can use his leave ?

Re: sick / holiday
Don't know how much reckonable service this OPG has or his age but due to the amount of absences should IHR not be considered?

Re: sick / holiday
He's about 56 with 25 years service & is waiting for his second stage ATOS meeting for IHR ,but even with him telling them the date of his op at the first meeting they still arranged the second meeting for the day after his op . He was hoping to get it all sorted for IHR before going in for his op & going to zero pay.

Re: sick / holiday
we have someone who has been off for a while and is almost on zero pay, he was due to start back at work this week but has been offered and taken 3 weeks holiday @ full pay.
Holiday pay is a statutory payment whether you are sick or not, you are still owed it.
