Has anybody heard of sick pay at pension rate in royal mail being used?
A friend of mine has maxed out on her sick pay entitlement as she has been off a lot in the last few years. I have heard of sick pay at pension rate under other organisations where if you have no allowance left you can take this rate . This is payment of sick pay at the rate you would have been paid for your pension if you had been IHR. This is only paid for a max of 12 months but it is also only allowed if you are going to definitely be able to return to work and make a full recovery
anybody know if it applies in rm?
and what are the consequences for your pension?

No idea on implications or even details but there is mention of it in the Pay Directive Fishtank posted at http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... =1&t=41077" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so it does exist - Best they contact HR for details.
