Bosses are effing wrong as usual take my advice and see your union rep immediately. Please refer him or her to INTRODUCING THE SINGLE DAILY DELIVERY Appendix A.
1. Key Principles sub paragraph f.
Which clearly states the following:
Providing meal break/working time regulation rules are observed, employees will have the flexibility to plan the timing and location of their meal breaks. This flexibility also extends to the ability to have a refreshment break prior to going out on delivery as long as it does not compromise the office workplan. Where deliveries are completed within the agreed office workplan then employees will be allowed to pouch off without returning to the office.
It certainly looks as if management are messing with your heads.

In the current situation........why were you forced to take it.superfox wrote:We were also forced to take our meal breaks before we went out...the delivery managers were double checking to make sure
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Took 20 mins before going out and 20 mins on return from delivery.
Canteen was mostly empty apart from governors who definitely don't miss their break.
One issue of concern is the food on sale is not very healthy and that may be affecting our long term health by not providing the right food.
What was ironic is that the plasma propaganda board was lecturing about healthy eating when the food in the canteen was anything but.
