Sick Leave over pressure.

Any body know how RM will react to sick taken between Christmas and new year? In particular, off on 27th Dec! Will normal attendance agreement/Sick leave agreement apply? Or will they get all uperty. I have a few days still to book. In my office they haven't yet posted a list for extras to book off. Quite senior, so would be granted. Only need to take this day, would then get six days off in a row. So considering ringing in sick on 27th! Was kust wondering what the implications might be?

At our place they always threaten to conduct anyone going sick between Chirstmas and New Year if they don't get a "Fit Note" - never heard if they have though.

Yes I was serious! And ditto as a member. Don't understand what you are implying? Just wanted the official standpoint, so if I run into trouble upon my RTW, would just know where I stand, that was all.

Because aside from the usual absences that trigger stages, they are also told to look for patterns to absences.

If you are sick then phone in as sick... if you are just a f*****g chancer then why chance your arm posting this on here ? Ask for AL if you've got days sitting... why should the rest of us have to cover your workload and pay for you having a day off just because you fancy one ? ? ?

I am not going to question your conscience as that should rightly be left to each individual, however, if your bosses have been able to connect your online persona with you in real life then pulling a duvet day and announcing it on a public forum is a short line to some severe grief from management. The same perhaps if your colleagues have also been able to identify you.
