Rumour talks are making progress but not enough to call off strike yet.
Anyone shed any light on this.

It is unlikely RM will make a significant game-changing offer before seeing the strength and depth of feeling on Nov 4.
A massively supported strike may change their position.
One day might not be enough.

Then again Royal Mail may give sufficient ground to enable the strike to be postponed while more talks take place.
Who knows?

A couple of days ago Dingo said there was no deal and they weren't even close to one. So things have either moved on rapidly or he knew more than he was letting on (which is doubtful as why would he spread misleading info)

Let's hope RM have started to give on the important issues.

I spent ages composing an email to members, detailing, how unlikely I thought it was, that an agreement would be reached without at least one days action. I reiterated how important it was to remain strong, and have a 100% turnout on the picket line. Just before I completed the email, my phone beeped. I finished the email,sent it,and checked my phone. A text from Area Rep saying the strike was off!!
I checked online, and forwarded the Joint Statement, to members about 60 seconds after the previous email.I'm glad I'm off this week!
