Time Off
The answer is probably a no, but I'll try it anyway. I really need 4 days off in a few weeks - I can't book it as annual leave and it's not classed as "special leave". Is there anyway at all of getting this time off (other than go sick)? I'd even have it unpaid but am not sure whether they still say no to that?

That will depend on what you need the time off for. Have you read the Special Leave Policy to see if it is covered there ?

If you need the time off then take it.
Apply for special leave A it'll probably get knocked back to C but you've nothing to loose.
If you need it then you need it,it really is that simple, just give them as much notice as possible.
