Rolling action starts 15th oct.?
What i cannot understand is why the rolling action doesn't start till the 15th? That means RM have Wed Thurs Fri and Sat and Sun to shift backlog? And the muppets in are office will be working docket again to clear it. Cars in early etc. Then come Monday they say "well that was a waste of 4 days loss of pay?" Acheived nothing. To late now but i think rolling action should have started this wednesday

My feeling is that so members don't loose 3 days pay in a 1 week period so they decided to start them on Monday.

But following the "do the job Properly" campaign could still be a major hit to RM between the rolling strikes. I know when getting back to work the over time will be available in the plenty but if we also hand bags back and finnish on time this could, could, cripple them. But after four days of no pay I can see people hungry for the ot.
I'm going to follow the campaign and actually weigh and split my bags properly. I know I carry too much to hurry my round (of on average 3 1/2 - 4 1/2h. Real heavy days can be up to 6h plus ).

I think its different for each office as we don't have rotating days off in my office its set days unless your a cover guy. It is hard for CWU HQ to plan this. With DOs being off on the previous strikes later in the week some will see this as a good move as its spreading out the pain.
Got to give them a break lads in a way its RMs fault as they have each office on different work schedules and the union will not know how each individual office is run.

Agree
i am one of those that will gain from this rolling strike action and Ido agree that it is unfair it seems to have been thrown together in a hurry maybee they will get it right for the following week cos if they don't people will start to give in and go over to the scab side as non of us can afford to loose much more from our alresdy miserly wage
