Can anyone help. I work Backshift and want to attend WTLL actuators is the only time I will get access to members.
Obviously this would be out of my normal working group hours.
Am I eligible to claim overtime eg paid release or not. I know apart from the Union aspect I am entitled to get WTL.

WTL is agreed between RM and the CWU.
It forms part of your weekly paid hours.
If you're not having them, then the manager is using the time to make cuts and increase their bonuses.

30mins is the weeekly national standard.
We are lucky if we have enough infrequent WTLL sessions in a year to last 30mins in total!

You will not get paid release and are unlikely to get overtime to attend WTL outside your contracted hours unless it is completely unfeasible to give you your own WTL.
To be honest a rep on a backshift is not the most ideal of scenarios.
Do you have a sub rep who could be present during the day shift WTL session(s)?
