Over the past few years our office has lapsed one walk during the summer months under the guise of summer savings and without fail the lapsing has always ceased at the end of August. We currently have a temporary manager who has taken it upon himself to ignore the end of August cut off date and to continue lapsing. Now whilst the office cannot argue that we don't have time to complete the extra work within our normal duty span - because we do, the issue that we have is the fact that on weeks where there is no normally occurring opportunity to lapse, he will shift people from their duty to create a lapsable duty.
We are certain that one of the previous CWU\RM agreements state that it's not acceptable for a manager to artificially create an opportunity to lapse, but I have had no luck in finding this in writing. Can anyone help?
