Could the public/businesses pay us to strike?

Just a thought! :)

What if a pot was made available to pay in to by any of the public and businesses who support us? Get a few celebs on side to dig deep and get the ball rolling.

Its called a "Hardship Fund" and anyone can pay into it. AFAIK local and national ones are set up during strikes.

Unbelievable.
Not unbelievable, there are probably some Anti-privatisation and "left leaning" celebrities out there who would be willing to donate. I doubt the progeny of Lord Beaverbrook would though.

Maybe wardy and co might make a contribution from there big fat pay packets that members willingly contribute to.......as for the public they are not likely to help anyone when their parcels , benefit checks and hospital appointments don't arrive.

They do on EVERY national strike they donate the equivalent of a days wages (theirs not ours) into the Hardship fund. As do all of the National Officers as far as I know.

I did mean to strike to halt privatisation altogether :)

The public would fund there/our fight to keep Royal Mail :)

DOM must be getting seriously uneasy. Is he going to have to DON his boots, cycle helmet,unwaterproof storm jacket and trousers to help Moyas cause instead of slipping across to Gregs for his brekky before making his way home.

The public Paying us not to deliver their mail :left: It will never happen,Have a go of the lottery this weekend,More chance of winning that instead.
