Sagely unfortunately working for parcel force means your job and t and c's will be the first to go, far too many white van men out there who will go your job for a lot less, as they say your job is classed as low hanging fruit... Easily picked off. I think we have no alternative but to fight for our future, as sad as that is

Yes, we do need the strike action to help protect and improve pay, pensions, terms and conditions and job security. Royal Mail will bide their time for the 3 years' of their proposed 'protection' offer and thereafter, as said above, the cull will start big-time!

Our job has changed massively in the last 10 years. The next lot of change will come a whole lot quicker, and be far more damaging, if we do not support the ballot for strike action.

Dont know wether to vote for strike action or not to be honest. We were told that a strike or threat of a strike could deter privitisation plans by the government. Well i think they have beat us on that point now. I think it is to late now. The council workers were i live were took over by a private firm and have had all their terms and conditions changed and their salarys have been reduced dramaticaly even though they were in a union. I think that they had around nine months to accept a new contract or lose their jobs. I think this is what will happen to us even if we do strike.

Very few at our place will strike and I suspect that those who do strike around the country will only strike for a few days.

the people who do not strike are the nobs who in a few years will be moaning whys our pay being cut? why this why that, for god sake people wake up and realise we need to strike and need to do it otherwise it will be everyone whos hit.
