Dear Colleague

National Industrial Action Ballot – CWU Communications (Parcelforce)


Please find attached to this LTB the following documents that will assist in maximising the yes vote in the forthcoming ballot.

1. A CWU Parcelforce Reps Brief with simple messages that cover all the issues at the centre of the dispute. Reps should repeat these messages in the workplace at every opportunity.

2. A detailed description of the type of legal issues that we are looking for in the Agreement and that are currently under negotiation with the company.

3. Workplace posters and leaflets in PDF format. These should be distributed and displayed in every workplace.

Further communications are being sent to Parcelforce members’ home addresses and these also convey our key messages and include a leaflet on the significance of legally binding protections.

The notice of the ballot will be given to Royal Mail on Friday 20th September 2013 with ballot papers issued on Friday 27th September 2013.





The whole of the Union must focus all its efforts on a yes vote.
