Long story short

Been part time for years and waiting for a full time contract.

Full timer to leave shortly and just found out that we are to get a transferee in on a full time contract.

Does this sound right ?

PS. Going through a Lark and Poop revision now

Yes it can happen, as it did to me ,

If the person transferring in is done on welfare reasons then yes it can, :cry

I did finally get to fulltime though .

I have been fulltime when i started 24yrs ago/ then part time for 10yrs then back to fulltime

2 years or 10 years? has anybody else been made full time with less seniority than you ?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

7 years and nobody made full time.

Everytime a full timer leaves they make the duty part time

As Essex mum says unless the person transfering in is a wefare case or they are closing
their office down and they have less seniority why should the person get a 39 hour contract
when I have been told for the past 7 years there is no extra hours

You should check out the MTSF,because if there are surplus full time posties in your area then they also get priority.
