The local rep will remain but if the rep and the DOM can't agree on something, it will be decided by a panel of 3 union bods from HQ and 3 senior managers.
There will be no stage 1 or stage 2 disagreement and consequently no Area or Divisional reps.

This or something like this has been on the cards for sometime now, look what the Govt are doing to other unions about Facility time, according to them it just costs too much money, also if you look on the LTB about Div/rep elections it mentions something on there also

Nominations are invited from Branches within the relevant divisions for the position of Royal Mail Divisional Representative (2 per division) and Royal Mail Divisional Representative (Substitute - 1 per Division) for the following divisions:

London
Midland
North East
North Wales/North West
Scotland/Northern Ireland
South Central
South East
South West/South Wales
The term of office for these positions is two years and the successful candidates will take up office at the conclusion of the election (12 August 2013) however candidates should be aware that the above positions and divisions have been under review for sometime by the CWU & Royal Mail and therefore the term of office may be subject to change.

Wide of the mark ! There will inevitably be a new IR framework and a new governance model but there will not be a star chamber. There will still be 3 tiers.

Joint Delivery Training Workshop – CWU Delivery Rep/DOM

Further to LTB 706/12 issued to Branches on the 14th September 2012 this LTB is to inform Branches that the Joint Training Workshop has been updated and an additional 1 day workshop has also been agreed with Royal Mail.


Is this the workshop where reps talk amongst themselves during the bit where managers are trained in the art of banking hours?
