Private car on delivery while at other offices

Just wondering what I need to do to cover myself while working at delivery offices without a revision. Am I covered by Royal Mails insurance if I use my car?

No.

You need the correct cover on your own insurance, but if you have an accident whilst on duty then Royal Mails Bond covers the other car (or whatever you hit) 3rd Party only.

But also the managers at the other units should also make sure that your vehicle is covered and you have the correct documentation (NGH)

Technically, because you are using your car vehicle effectively as RM vehicle it should also be subject to the same vehicle checks and accompanying audit procedures.

Instead, get the manager you're working for to provide you with transport. Try and get a van.
If they give you a lift out, ring them and get a lift back. If they say catch the bus, tell them you finish at the office and will claim the time.
