As a part time postie can someone explain to me why i get payed less for delivering more d2d..
some weeks i only have 2 d2ds but last week i had 6 (and only get payed the pro rata)....some full time jobs in my office only had roughly 3....(and get the full amount)
now surley this cant be right being payed less for doing more ........ bout time it was same payment for all posties

Nobody gets paid anything for doing D2D.
It isn't a hard concept to grasp yet .........

But as you said a lot of people cannot grasp that idea.
So I answered in a way that a lot of people can only understand.
FT shaft the PT & PT shaft the FT & the union shafts us all

The payment is not for doing D2D.
If it was why would you still receive it when you don't have any D2D, or are off sick or are on holiday?

Perhaps people who think the Delivery Supplement is for doing D2D should give it back when they don't do any.

For working in deliveries. Collection staff get a collection supplement. MC staff get MC payments etc.

To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees. It will flow through in 2011 and 2012. It will be paid 52 weeks a year at the rate of £20.60 per week, pro rata for part time employees and applies to new entrants..

In fact, you don't even need to see or handle a single D2D to get the payment.
It is paid to callers office staff in my office, for example.

Yes that what it says in the agreement:

D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement - does not mean its payment for doing D2Ds, it means that the budget that used to pay us for D2Ds will now pay for the Delivery Supplement. The Union did not explain it well but basically because they thought we would lose D2D payments totally, they ring fenced it and convinced the business that being on Deliveries needed to be recognised in some way.

Its a major fault of the BT2010 agreement, nothing is clear or concise.
