Hi everyone
I've seen BSI used on a few topics of late but I've not seen it used before, so what does it stand for?

British Standards Institution ie How the job should be done and how much time it should take. Or as RM uses it Bull s**t Index

use google its a great tool. in summary '75 of bsi' I believe is the normal working rate of a non incentiveised worker. so the work rate of the average worker per hour can be said to be 75. so if you work around the same rate as the guy next to you then you work at 75.
if the worker is offered an incentive ie a performance bonus or above normal pay rate them they would be expected to work at 100bsi. So that would be working a third faster in return for a third more wages. so basically when you LM tells you he wants you to work at 100 bsi ask him what the incentive is because every worker in the study that the BSI bases their figures on got paid a bonus for working their butts off. also ask him if he gets a performance bonus.
