Paternity Leave... crossing a bank holiday

Posted this a few weeks ago,

My partner is being induced tomorrow sat 16th, my line manager said i will be back at work on the sat 30th. Im just checking that he is correct, because only been in the job a few months and been stiched up a fair amount of times, not bothered about the pay would prefer more time at home with the family. Was hoping to have this off as id be off easter sunday/monday, any help would be fantastic.

My manager told me that we would be working Good friday is this the case? if my paternity leave lapses with this day what are my rights?

If you are in Scotland Good Friday is not a public holiday.

as to public holidays and paternity leave:

The employee's entitlement will depend first on whether or not the bank holiday forms part of his or her statutory holiday entitlement under the Working Time Regulations 1998 (SI 1998/1833). Under the Regulations all workers are entitled to 5.6 weeks' paid holiday in any leave year. Where an employer grants employees the minimum holiday entitlement under the Regulations (ie 5.6 weeks inclusive of bank or public holidays), a bank holiday that occurs during the employee's period of paternity leave will form part of the employee's statutory holiday entitlement. This means that a day off in lieu would have to be granted.
