Heard it all before.
It lasts for a bit. Managers have no desire to enforce it. Staff have no desire to enforce it.
Ever heard of a manager being conducted for allowing staff to start early?

We have had that agreement in our office for nearly 3 years ,it is ignored by the runners and has never been enforced by management
what a load of Bull why not now its well ovedue.Just get rid of the corrupt managers they know who they are .The ones they keep moving to protect them.The goverment is in on it ask Moya the destroyer brought in for one reason

Have heard about a new standards document coming out this month I think which includes things like: no one starts before their time and managers to enforce this - all staff to take part of break before going out and managers to enforce it.
If they enforce this then they could do away with some night runs from MCs, btw what could be considered to be the "average" start time for anyone in a do?

The likelyhood of managers enforcing this when it will cause them problems is zero. Another thing, how are managers above them going to ensure/check this is being followed? And does anyone think they'll care?

I agree. The dom will tell the dsm anything to get them of their back. "Yes, we've had a weekly resource meeting", "no one started before their time"....etc etc etc
If his joint statement comes out, I for one will be making sure managers do their job, they can't cope now. Take away the work which goes unrecorded (early starters & non taking of meal relief) and I know some units will collapse because of the job 'n' knock culture which managers need to get the job done. Management sickness is on the rise, this will send it into orbit....
