Maximum walk time/miles

Apologies if this has been posted before, i have looked but cant find a definative answer.

Is there a maximum permitted time/miles you are allowed on your walk ?

I am a relatively new starter in the South and my walk takes between 5-6 hours, i am relatively fit, i cycle etc but cannot see how someone can walk this long each day. My feet, knees, back etc hurt like mad and my walking shoes are wearing out fast (RM foot on order)

Ill think myself lucky then, is there a maximum miles, if i average 2mph thats 10 miles

If thats the case ill buy a disability scooter in RM red

Does the 7.30hours relate to rural deliveries which are done by van. No human being could walk for 7.30 hours per day, five days a week for 1 year let alone 40 or more.

No, it's just the maximum done with a singleton van. It's unlikely to ever happen though, there's traveling time, breaks, loading up etc.

If you're only doing 2mph then you're too slow.............the official speed is 6.4kph so you'd better get your skates on

And I've done up to 13 miles in a day but usually it's down at about 9 miles a day but there is no maximum, the only thing that is a maximum is your hours at work, you just work to your finishing time and then stop (it's a bit more complicated than that, you need to tell the manager before you go out and prepare for them to try to bully you into doing it but it is your ultimate option).

I would estimate that i am walking 3-4 mph, i just used the 2mph to make a minimum comparison

My shift starts 6:45, i prep until about 9 and then i take a trolley out, finish this then walk back to the DO to collect another. I finish between 3:30 and 4:30 depending on the day.

Dreading this bloody revision, I'll stick with a 3 hour saunter with a bag anyday, stuff yer bloody trolley and cdv

I thought i was a fit person, Boxing, long distance cycling etc, but man i am knackered everynight

Black toes, shin splints, blistered ankles, sore heels, dodgy back and dont talk to me about knees

Hopefully it will get easier

Nope, knees go totally, ankles and then your hips go
And just remember the painkillers. the stronger the better
