union and making peoples hours up

Post by Stella102 »

so whats the deal with the union saying if you work a lot of overtime over a 6 month period and have proof then the DOM has to make your hours up to compensate for this?

i.e. if you are on a 25 hr contract and constantly do 32 then you should have a 32 hr contract.

Is this right and does anyone have any info or documents regarding this?

thankyou found it: the Job Security, Resourcing and Managing Change Agreement
http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... 42&t=45449" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

it states
• Part time employees will be given the opportunity to increase their contracted hours in line with the hours they actually work.

so we talk to our union rep regarding this providing him info from our payslips? Does this actually work or do the just consider you
