Dear Colleagues,
WCM National Agreement - Safety Pillar Presentation/Training Event for CWU ASRs, CMA ASRs & Safety Teams in Gatwick Mail Centre on 12th and 19th February 2013 (10:00 to 16:00)  

As reported in LTB 771/12 dated 12/10/12 a WCM Training Event was arranged for Friday 2nd November for Safety Management Teams, CMA ASRs and CWU Area Safety Reps hosted by Gerry Teggart RM Ops National Safety Director and held in Birmingham.   

Strong representations had been made on the above and in response to issues raised by ASRs and Regional H&S Forums, requesting WCM Safety Pillar Training for ASRs following the signing of the WCM National Agreement. Section 5 of that agreement covering health and safety. The event covered the WCM Safety Pillar, as well as looking at the safety strategy going forward. Similarly, the main focus of the events in February will be to build improved RM/CWU ASR relationships and to provide technical training in the WCM Safety tools.

The event in Birmingham was well attended with over 50 CWU ASRs in attendance from across the UK. It has been agreed with the RM National Safety Director that additional events be arranged, for those ASRs unable to attend Birmingham. These will take place in Gatwick on the 12th and 19th February 2013 (10:00 to 16:00). T&S for those ASRs attending will be met by RM in your local area/geography.
