Mailsort on Saturday

Our DOM told us last Saturday that WCM means we have to take Mailsort on Saturdays from now on, but I thought you only did that when you had done the delivery methods. We are still in the early stages of planning for that, so are we supposed to take it or not?

Does anybody know the answer? At what stage are you required to take all the mail on a Saturday?

IIRC the agreement that allowed MS3 to be left in on a Saturday was on the stipulation that Saturday was a shorter working day. Ergo if Saturday is not a shorter day then MS3 should be taken. WCM has nothing to do with MS3 or when it should go.

The minute our useless union agreed to making our Saturdays as miserably long as possible, ending our lovely half-day Saturdays, we were well and truly screwed with regard to that mailsort crap.
Everything must go on Saturdays now, because the tits we work for decided on a whim to make Saturday a 'normal working day.'
Why?
Sheer spite and malice on the part of bosses, as there is absolutely no need whatsoever for any of us to be tramping the streets on a saturday afternoon delivering crap, no need at all.

Taking out the Mailsort on a Saturday is the lesser of two evils. If companies send it via DSA instead you'll still end up delivering it on a Saturday but RM would get less money for it. Mailsort should be arriving at the MCs the day before delivery is due so in any casde it should go

dsa really is mailsort, i hope those responsible for scum dsa are punished, saturday is a horrid day
