Outdoor Secretary’s Introduction

This month’s edition has as its main article the bullying and harassment campaign we are in the midst of, which we will be raising with Royal Mail at the highest level on the 17th December 2012. A letter has been sent to all Branches and ADRs for circulation to all of our Delivery Offices so that our members are up to date with what we are doing. The response to the article in the Voice magazine on Bullying and Harassment and titled ‘Delivery under Pressure’ has been good and we are still receiving information which we will use to bring this unacceptable behaviour to an end. This time last year the department issued the first edition of the E-Bulletin and during the last 12 months we have gained a vast amount of email addresses for both Reps and Members demonstrating that this has been a successful addition to the work the department performs. 2012 has provided many challenges for our Representatives and Members, particularly in Delivery but as always when we organise ourselves and make sure that National Agreements & Joint Statements are adhered to then we can always produce results.
