my points on annualised hrs and flexibility.
1. If you work longer hours in the winter , you,ll work shorter in the summer,well hows that going to work? I personally hardly made any time in the summer.
2.with flexible working,in the summertime with more annual leave you,ll be working over your time everyday
3.parttimers will be working full time hours in the winter with the annualIsed hours concept
of course I refer to deliveries
we will be lose money as well doing door to doors for nothing
the pay rise roughly covers three door to door payments..but we will be delivering more than that.

And something to think about if you have worked longer hours in the winter and mayb no longer in the job come the summer ?? r they going to pay us the extra? dont think so somehow .

Thats a good point ,vice versa you,d owe them money ,they could take it out of the final MONTHLY pay.

yes, something i think shud be raised with them.. And how wud it be worked out..bit confusing it wud be for our managers.

As I understand it - we would still (for example as a full timer) be paid for 40 hours per week (or the equivalent monthly amount) even though working 30 hours during low traffic periods in summer. So what happens if we go over the presumed 30 hours?, do we get paid overtime or be told "you are being paid 40 so you can work 40 if we need you to. Imagine then, what will happen when we get into pressure periods and are told "you have had your 30 hour weeks - now you have to work up to 50 with no overtime. somewhere along the line they are getting extra work for nothing !!! I have never objected to extended delivery on my own walk when we are busy because I feel I have a duty to my customers (who respect me and the job I do a lot more than Royal Mail do) but I do not work for free and anyone who does is an idiot. I particularly refer to those who come in in their own time to prep and don't take meal relief's that they are entitled to.

We can do the job but we do not work for nothing

We're on the vans at my place and as it stands now without the super dooper walk sorting machine at times i can make an hour out of the job.
Not a lot to play with me thinks.
But that is on a TUESDAY

Rest of the week it's very tight,even in the 'Summer lull' so you know what to do!!!

Wouldn't we be entitled to a longer meal relief if we were asked to work a 10 hour shift? (Can't remember the rules for breaks off hand)
