Striking at Christmas

An interesting question from a member, if we strike during Cristmas pressure do we lose the bonus. Iwould say it would be discrimination if some got it and some didn't any thoughts.

If we are still on strike at Christmas would anyone be entitled to a bonus as we will miss all targets and wont be doing overtime. If we do get it and it if its given pro-rata then my feeling is we would loose so much for each day on strike.

However, I don't think we will be as

by then the political pressure for Royal Mail and the CWU to sort it out, would be massive and I doubt even Royal Mail could recover from the Scrooge tag it would be bound to get.

i think the 'christmas bonus'payment you refer to is actually an ex IWM payment,which we are entitled to as we gave hours up years ago,it just happens that RM pay it over christmas and call it a bonus

It's not called a bonus,it's now called 'Xmas supplement',not sure what it all means though.

last year anyone off sick during xmas pressure weeks lost money for each day they were off.

During official IA in our office over the Christmas period we were told and lost 25% of the bonus for every week of IA. Our office were involved in 1 day strikes over turning full time jobs into part time jobs.

xmas bonus is paid as long as you at work for the whole xmas pressure period so if you are on strike no you will not get the bonus

We've had a buffet for the last few years. Plenty of us won't touch it on principle, but there are always shite hawks hovering as soon as the grub gets wheeled in. Then the smarmy gets in suits who allegedly manage the place stand there like Victorian workhouse masters beaming as the sorry feckers tuck in.

The ought to do we sometimes happened in the forces. One unit when I was overseas the SNCOs and Officers one Christmas took all the duties that day and let all the Cpls and below get very drunk. Could we convince everyone above OPG to a walk in thanks . (Not a hope in hell)

and look Santa goes on strike so why cant we
