Hello, my office currently doesn't have a health and safety rep, I'm tempted to put my name forward but just wondering what is involved? Due to family circumstances I wouldn't be able to go away for courses, but the knowledge on here seems pretty good. I'm guessing having a rep is better than not having one even if they haven't done the courses.
Do you get facilty time when you are a health and safety rep?

You should go for it, as you’re right about better to have a safety rep. There will be times went you will think why am I going this for, like went you got members stating health and safety this, health and safety that and then walking out the door with a 20kg + pouch.
