Summer Lapsing

Hi guys and girls.
I have been a member here before, but I forgot my username so had to register a new account.

In our office (spdo) there is no such thing as summer lapsing, we lapse all year round, including Christmas.

My question is, does the 2010 agreement still stand about the lapsing, or has it been abolished ?

Should we be lapsing all year round ?
As an office, we have no problems lapsing on Mondays and Tuesdays, but for the rest of the week, it is beyond a joke !
We have to chuck off rounds ready for the delivery only guys and chuck off our lapsing rounds and chuck off anything else that may be up on overtime, this is of course as well as our IP sort.
Some mornings I don't get out until 10am and being a rural driver, this means me having to sacrifice my lunch break.
Cutting off is not an option, because I have been threatened with willful delay for cutting off in the past.

Now, there are certain people/rounds who should lapse all year round, because (as far as I am aware) the definition of lapsing is to be better utilize a persons hours and we have a few full timers who's rounds simply do not utilize there hours, in fact even with there current lapsing, they still finish several hours before there duty time, on a daily basis. Where as we have rural drivers and part timers who really struggle.

Forfeit your break ? ,no you dont your the fool for doing that , as for wilfull delay of mail if u cut off a load of cobblers .If you cut off but come back early thats a diffrent matter .
