Summer lapsing

Hi All,

Boss is putting on pressure to introduce summer lapsing within our office. Some guys are occasionally cutting off and some are making time. Has anyone found a fair way of introducing the lapsing of rounds??

For some it would appear that starting earlier, running around even faster and cutting even more corners than usual will allow for summer lapsing and still getting finished early.
Ask them to do the bulk of it.

We've been put under extreme pressure for lapsing as well :( We said the same thing as yourself, if you have time then ok, if not see line manager and call us in if there is a problem.

The biggest risk relating to lapsing is behaviour.
Members need to understand that if they have time they have to do it,it's not a game and it's shouldn't be a case of getting one over management.
If you're planning on finishing early without lapsing you're digging your own grave.

Managers on the other hand have to understand that if they request lapsing and the member says they can't do it that should be the end of the conversation on the floor,no pantomime Oh yes you can/Oh no i can't bollocks and no quoting obscure figures they don't even understand themselves.

Apparently a 10% decrease in traffic now equates to an eighteen minute decrease in outdoor time.
So the forecasted 20% drop in traffic over the summer will allow 36 minutes extra outdoor lapsing.
You couldn't make it up.

If they wish to use this flawed logic then it has to be reciprocal.
Each D2D roughly increases your daily traffic by 10% therefore 5 D2D equates to an hour and a half of extra delivery time.
It's cut off city using those maths.
