Re: new agreements
There is an in principal agreement on world class Mail's , an agreement on MTSF , am agreement on Job security which includes solutions on fixed term contracts.
They met last week to discuss colleague share and they met again today and have further meetings this week. Part of these discussions also include a cut off point for the SWW and how the money came be paid. later this week talks on deliveries also start.
I understand the aim is for all these to be concluded by the end of this month and then put to the PEC. They have to then be sent to Branch's given 4 weeks notice of the policy forum for consultation and amendments to be made.
The timescales are tight but this is I understand the aim.
At the same time Royal Mail have challenged both the government and Off comm over their decision to allow TNT to start an end to end service but off comm have kicked back that Royal Mail are behind in their plan to become more productive and have increased stamp prices massively.

Attendance procedure?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Yes that is close and progress has been made on the contract strategy but not the appeal but there might be a trial on the appeal issue.POSTMAN wrote:Attendance procedure?

I was under the impression that BT2010 ensured job security, 75/25 FT/PT so how can you secure something twice.dingo wrote:There is an in principal agreement on world class Mail's , an agreement on MTSF , am agreement on Job security which includes solutions on fixed term contracts.

Re: new agreements
When I meant no job security I understand that the wording talks about a no complulsory redundancies for any future changes ! Which if true is pretty significant rather than for the lifespan of the BT agreement . In terms of your constant referral to the 75 - 25 ratio can you tell me of any postal administration in Europe which has anywhere near that commitment to full time staff ?

What commitment? Talk is cheap what I would like to see is the actual figures for FT/PT split which was highlighted as a plus for job security in BT 2010 BUT only on a national level - so what is the split now on an area by area breakdown? As for the European postal administrations commitments - who cares? - are we now being administered from Europe? NON!

Re: new agreements
Fish I understand the delivery talks commence this Friday and absorption is just one of the issues to be discussed.
Dvbuk I have seen the figures for full time and part prior to the agreement and the reality is that some areas have very high levels of full timers and some low levels.
it's a national figure and there are two thirds of revisons still not gone in a significant amount of them are from London where the breakdown of full timeers to part timers was approximately 95%.
the figure is being collated but it is expected to show currently above 75%. but hey that's is still to be proved.

Re: new agreements
Are we to assume that this will be a total figure of ALL employees and not just union members - and really why are we 2 years down the line without any check having been made and will the collation now be ongoing - considering there is still more than a 1000 true revisions to be enacted - will this figure show the total manpower in 2010 and the current manpower and therefore a comparison of what was and what is and what is to be. Oh and who exactly is doing the collation and will the figures be available to view and to be verified.dingo wrote:Fish I understand the delivery talks commence this Friday and absorption is just one of the issues to be discussed.
