Stage 2 or not ?

Ok can anyone work this out,
im on a stage 1 then trigged a stage 2 and it was not issued because
it was an accident at work,
then i had 4 days off sick with stomach bug and that has now trigged a stage 2,
i know a stage 2 is trigged if you have 2 absences or 10 days or more,
well i had 1 absence and 4 days off with stomach bug,
the manager is counting the accident at work as the first absent and the stomach bug as the second,
is this right ?

If the accident at work was officially agreed as such, then it should not count towards a stage warning.

I had the same problem with an AOD not being reported by the manager when I had given him a written request to do so, I ended up getting a stage 3 due to another AOD ( I am not clumsy, honestly ) and when I appealed the stage 3 ( as you can't appeal before that, stupid really ) I got put back down to a stage 1 and the non-reporting DIM got a bollocking from the area manager for not doing his job correctly in the first place.

The manager isn't counting anything.
The "trigger" comes from HR.
You will have triggered the warning, which isn't the same as having been issued the warning.
The interview should be short and sweet.
