Re: Queens birthday
Everyone gets a half day off each year...
We used to get one 'priviledge day' for the Queen's birthday, and a half day for Maundy Thursday,
we also got one Xmas 'priviledge day', which could be taken on Christmas Eve or the day after Boxing Day
in my office.
The 2 and a half Priviledge days were usually added to your Winter Leave.
These days were incorporated into your basic Annual Leave in the Way Forward agreement 2000.
The odd half day is rolled over so that you get a full day every other year, though you can take it as a half
day's leave if you put in for it.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

As the extract above said they were incorporated into annual leave back in 2000.

I would 'guess' that this would be it,although it does not say exact.

Way forward: 4. ANNUAL LEAVEThe agreement also incorporates former “privilege days” (Post Office Holidays) into standard entitlements,
