Latest Rejected Offer: Full Details of RM's Proposal

For those who have not already seen or been given a copy, Royal Mail's latest offer, rejected by the CWU, is available to download in .pdf format from our website at:

Reading it should remind everyone afresh why we have to fight for a deal on our terms.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

i'm a bit confused with the wording of rm's latest proposals. every paragraph seems to say 'as agreed by rm and cwu. well if the union have agreed on any of these strings then god help all of us and as for the pensions somebody has already said that he will be robbed of £36000 overnight. he is not wrong. we should all be out now

Its the pre-release document as in they honestly thought the CWU would sign up to it. But they did not.

My God! I never thought this job could become so bad...

A job of that description would amount to slavery...a bit of food in your belly and a roof over your head if your lucky.

Im sorry but ive got a life to live as well - my world doesnt revolve around Royal Mail...it would be impossible to organise your life around changes to hours at 24 hours notice...are they people who concocted this document living in the real world?

I didnt sign up for this...

Quite right TBT. The notes that were attached to it make it quite clear that the document was not signed up to at all, and the negotiators recommended rejection. That's what matters in the end. In negotiations, well... who knows what was said...

Sorry about the link thing, mate. Have to re-write some of the html to put it on, and haven't made the time (I'm very much an amateur at these things).

Will see if I can get it done this w/e.

The proposed agreement doc is indeed dated 9/9/7,but is the one which was the latest to be rejected by the negotiators and the PEC. I left off the accompanying internal CWU doc which was from the negotiators to the PEC, and recommended rejection, and had strike dates on it. At the time, this was not a public doc.

Just one question. Where did this agreement come from? Are we sure its genuine? There are a few things in there that could help with current discussions at our own office and I need to know its authentic.
