changing my saturday times

i am a full time postman who has a collection on the end of my delivery every saturday which is very hard to complete within the hours of 605 am to 14.05 pm so my dom wants to extend my saturday hours to 15.05 finish by taking one hour off of my monday start time making that a 7.30 am start.i would be the only person in the office doing those hours is this allowed .i would appreciate any help.my delivery is a town delivery.

as far as I have read in the 2010 agreement the latest start time is 7am for full time. also, flexing up only allows for 30 mins and this in the case of unforeseen workload in office which may entail lapsing. 1 hr felx is not part of agreement. so given he wants 1hr flexing he cannot do it. also 9 hr shift has 50 min break -nearly an hour. so when do you take an hour off? the manager cannot dicate your break time. it can also be taken 2x25 mins. so to be really difficult take 2x 25 mins. see how your delivery works out. bet taking 2x 25 mins means you will not complete delivery before collection

The latest start time for a full timer isn't 7am, especially if there is a collection at the end of the duty.
If the Saturday collection is failing then obviously they are going to need to deal with that.
I don't understand the reference to flexing. He isn't being asked to flex.

Will you still be able to complete your workload in your allocated time on Monday?

agreement states 7 am for vast majority of full timers. suppose being pedantic manager could dig heels in but with other options i have pointed out could make life difficult for dom

what the dom wants to do is ake me start at 730am on a monday and probably have a bit of help with my prep but my finish time would be 2pm and i book most mondays

Although it's pretty obvious that the Dom is simply trying to pressure you into returning to the previous position of you quite happily booking overtime and not cutting off you have to understand that it's not your start time he is proposing to change it's the duty start time.
You have said yourself that it's difficult to complete in the existing duty plan so he's left with the choice of either taking the collection off the duty or realigning the duty plan to fit the workload.
If i was the rep i would be arguing for the collection to be taken off but you will have to absorb work from somewhere else to compensate and there has to be somewhere for the collection to go.

the problem in my office is everyday approx 12 people book ot so its become the norm and if you want to cut off we are told you are not allowed to and they question your performance and compare you to others who complete ontime!!!!!!!!!

if you are the only one doing those hours who does the DOM expect to lock up ,set the alarms etc at the end of your duty

my dom would expect me to leave the van in the yard as the phg would leave at approx 220pm.then leave any mail or parcels in my van locked up.

you still need someone to lock the yard gates,should that not be the phg or a dom

yes i understand that but what i mean is that i don't think locking up yard gates should be a opg's responsibility

remember dave that you can finish on your time everyday if you want to. if they question performance then the only agreed test is the minute long test on a clear frame
