ROYAL MAIL SHOPPING LIST OF SAVINGS:
1 Remove all flexed flights (No affect on me)
2 Clear boxes no more than twice per day (less flexibility during peak periods)
3 Process only 1C on Sundays ( No affect on me)
4 Remove all night shifts (More sorting but no extra time to do it)
5 Drivers segregate and tray meter collections (No affect on me)
6 Move 2C to efficient units (No affect on me)
7 Limit local feeder service to max of 2 per DO (less flexibility during peak periods)
8 Eliminate crash sorting (No affect on me)
9 Close weekend inward operation and move to Monday (No affect on me)
10 Absorb 4 Saturday firm walks into 3 (More work for no extra pay)
11 Move to monthly pay
(Wow big affect and as far as I know they are not going to help when we do switch)
12 Absorb 6 summer walks into 5 (More work for no extra pay)
13 Eliminate overtime and SA on indoor (More work for no extra pay)
14 Withdraw from Sunday and bank holiday collections (no affect on me but less service to Public)
15 Amalgamate 1C and 2C main despatch (No affect on me)
16 Introduce driver assists and arrival flexibility (No affect on me)
17 Drivers segregate and tray collection mail (No affect on me)
18 Cease time option bonus (More work for no extra pay)
19 Cease election payments (More work for less pay)
20 Remove D2D payments (More work for less pay)
21 Absorb short term sick leave between 5 walks (More work for less pay)
22 Reduce sickness leave (managerial non-acceptance, contact strategy, attendance procedure
(Already make a harsh rule even harsher without union involvement).
This is of course not up to date but as far as I know there is no up to date list except maybe at RM/CWU HQ.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
