Hi can anyone remember what royal mail policy was for it's workers who had caught swine flu a few years ago .

lad at our place had it, his absence took him to stage 3 and they peddled him. put in an appeal, lost, went to i/t, and the sacking stood.!!?? :crazy:

I worked through it :( Thought I had a bad case of man flu (a heavy cold)! Wish I hadn't now.

I've just checked all my rtw and I was off with swine flu and I got issued a stage , thought I night be able to use that at my tribunal

I had to take 3 days off due to Swine Flu, could'nt take anymore as I was on a Stage 2 at the time. Just looked at my sick record and its been marked down as 'Flu Like Symptoms'. It was registered with my GP as Swine Flu and I had the medication.

Mines the same , flu like symptoms but in the return to work interview , i said it was swine flu . To be honest I didn't think it was important until now , I can't remember rm policy it seems to be unclear with the posts to this subject , I vaguely remember the government telling people who had to stay off work , school etc if that was the case surely those absences shouldn't count on anybody's attendance record .

Of course you worked through it mazza, it was only like man flu and only men go off with man flu, everybody knows that..............of course there are women complaints that we don't get and so can't use them as an excuse for a lazy day. :chuckle
