moving sorting office

moving sorting office

Any one know if you get a payment for moving office, the sorting office we are in is closing & we are going to
move in with another sorting office 4 miles away,
i am having to get 2 buses to my new place of work in this coming may,
before i just walked to work as it was just round the corner ? :d'oh!

Yes you do but they seem to be random. The minimum is £150 and the highest I heard of was £1300 but the higher awards tended to go to the people least inconvenienced by the move! :arrrghhh

150 quid standard payment
they will most prob allow you to take a van home so it wont matter but you still get the 150 quid

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

All depends, some who live half a mile west of our office got over £2000! but if you live at the other side ,closer to the new office you get the £150 booby prize. Another flawed rule of rm. You can choose to take it over 3 years or as a reduced lump sum. I know what i'd go for cos I cant see the new owners still paying this in 2-3 years time. I live over 3 miles from both my new office and the old one and got the £150 . Vans stay at work by the way.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

vans in st area are allowed home

Taking vans home overnight can be the best option, for management too as they've no space for all of them at the Delivery Office with all the extra ones brought in for park and loop. :Very Happy And if you live in a respectable neighbourhood claim a new van on the grounds that ones neighbours wouldn't tolerate an old clapped out one in the Close. :crazy:
