when you are given the i.w.t figures do they incorporate the d2d workload ?
also when you talk about lapsing should that come from the workload inside the office not out on delivery ?

the d2d are incorporated into the iwt, a rep is entitled to see the iwt at his weekly resource meeting and talk about lapsing for the following week

the only time lapsing is done is if your office is able to do it.

the prime concern is finishing your own delivery first, then any possible lapsing

if you have had a revision and are using the iwt then there should be no room for lapsing

?? we,ve had a revision and ARE using the iwt, but we are told we CAN lapse every monday and tuesday all year round. they say lapsing is do-able when the mail count is 40,000 or lower. they seem to lie each monday and tuesday. when you tell them you cant lapse,,they,re quoting performace figures and start counting how many letters are in your frame. dont mention the rep,,, you can only see his toenails sticking oot the gaffers arse.

The "model week " in theory only allows for lapsing when the mail drops below the model week.
But your model week will have to take into account F/T P/T ratio, the unit's willingness or ability to flex up and delivery span linked to attendance patterns.
It is quite possible that a unit can still have lapsing opportunities if the model week is set high enough.

anything above that and they have problems, they cant have there cake and eat it.
if this lapsing carries on it will be a perfect excuse to have a mini revision and get say 200 hours taken out
