CWU lightening the load.

has everyone had a look @ the CWU lightening the load booklet? as there is some eye opening stuff in it-
the booklet it is that good my DOM wont let it be handed it out to our members.
He says its damaging to royal mail,HA HA f**kin bollocks, more like he doesnt want our members to do their job
as its supposed to be done!

This is the bit he is probably trying to hide (or at least 1 of them)
Due to the potential for delivery staff to be away from their unit for extended periods of time
it is necessary to ensure there is suitable and sufficient access to welfare facilities particularly
sanitary conveniences. Access to toilets is a human right – doing without is not an option and
where there are no toilets available on the delivery walk or adjacent delivery walks then a
return to the unit is necessary

TBT'S I had a good old butchers at that and im very happy now that i see a few things i want to bring up in my case.....

H&S and all to do with it IS a massive factor in our workplace and RM seem to talk the talk but dont walk the walk so to speak of!!!

I have read about the booklet on-line, problem is my branch of the union has not said anything about it. bit like a closed shop in the east lancs amal.

TBT. I like the idea of returning to the unit for the toilet. But try telling postmen and managers that its their right to return for the call of nature. Its like banging your head against a wall. As well as the accusations of willfully delaying the mail.

If there's no designated toilet point, get the manager to pick you up. If he doesn't, knock up with kidney damage and blame the gaffer in the back to work interview.

My New Bible :Very Happy I came across a copy about a month ago and mentioned it on the site,lots of lovely bits and pieces :Very Happy my favourite only 8 special deliverys on a walk a day :dance (some days i was taking 15-20 out)
