Im a rep of around 6 months at a decent sized DO of 110 or so staff
We have had our CSS machines for around 10 weeks now and have hit our targets for % of mail to be sequenced but havent seen a penny off the £200 promised for doing so
Anyways, it now appears this will only materialise once we have also done a full walk sequencing revision which then triggers the additional £600.
Anyhows im finding it increasingly difficult to get anything sorted out with my DOM who is very vague, clueless and passes the buck a lot to my 3 line managers. Who in turn are spinless and dare not make a decision, bar one who hates the DOM.
Needless to say it makes things tough.
I also am reasonably new to the reps game, and pick bits and pieces up from here etc, but looking at some of the things we should be doing it appears our office is being shafted all over the place.
We are absorbing all the time, rurals doing extra packets ( this was case before the xmas rush which has ended this, ableit temporarily. The ft town boys and pt ers are expected to clear IPS after our 8am time has come, which is when IPS should finish,
The dom is wanting to lapse another duty in the new year to carve up amongst everyone, reckons we need to save 5%
I rarely get a resource meeting, no sign of the IWT tool, I hear this is rigged too, at 4% call rate for 100 calls ( 4 calls in 100 = packet, tracked, signed for etc?
I just feel that the dom isnt interested in getting this revision started, we also have the shared vans coming in july 2012 .
We also have managers doing postie work.
prepping rounds etc. I ask if its being reported and they shouldnt do it but nothing is done
Also the overtime catch sheets not being used properly, managers asking in who they like for overtime, whole place is a shambles
My area rep isnt much help either.
Just kinda fell like a small fish in a big pond atm
As a rep I get a lot of stick from lots of people but id like to see them try it.
Its bloody tough especially when you seem alone.
